Thomas Ryan

Thomas Ryan is an investment research analyst at Commonwealth Financial Network®, member FINRA/SIPC, an independent broker/dealer-RIA. He joined Commonwealth in 2014 as a performance reporting analyst and, in 2017, became an investment research analyst on the Investment Management and Research team. In this role, Tom is primarily responsible for responding to inquiries on equity portfolios, including the analysis of individual stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds. He received a degree in business management from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is a CFA® charterholder and holds a FINRA Series 65 securities registration.

Brad here. Besides being an economics geek, I am and always have been a science and space geek. As a human, I regard the growing presence of private enterprise in space as a significant breakthrough. As an investor, I’m more than excited by the opportunities presented by exploring space. On the other hand, as a cynic, I’m also very aware of the risks and concerns associated with expanding our boundaries. Tom Ryan of Commonwealth’s Investment Management and Research department does a terrific job outlining the real opportunities, as well as the risks, of investing in the final frontier.
