“Once a new technology rolls over you, if you’re not part of the steamroller, you’re part of the road.”
— Stewart Brand
Most advisors seem to either wait too long (part of the road) or jump in too early (part of the first-generation steamroller). In our experience, the best way to “manage” technology is to carve off half a day each quarter. Spend two hours thinking about your inefficiencies (e.g., What can you stop doing altogether? What aspects can you automate or delegate?) and the other two hours reading about new enhancements (e.g., updates from your current technology providers).
How do you currently manage technology?
